Xiao-Ying Yu Chosen for Micromachines Journal Board

PNNL scientist will review papers on microfluids

Xiao-Ying Yu

PNNL's Xiao-Ying Yu has joined the review board for the journal Micromachines.

Yu, a chemical engineer and physical chemist, will apply her expertise on microfluids and the applications in making micromachines as an editorial board reviewer for submitted papers.

She is one of roughly 100 reviewers on the board that were appointed by the journal. Yu has reviewed papers for the journal over the past few years, but this is a formal move to the review board.

“This is a great recognition for my effort as a reviewer for this journal,” Yu said. “I am very honored to serve the journal continuously and contribute to the growth of the research area in microfluidics and micromachines.”

Micromachines is an international peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes monthly online. The scope of papers includes fundamentals of physics, micromachines in biology, micromachines in chemistry, and materials and processing.

Yu joined PNNL in 2006. She has published more than 80 peer-reviewed papers and has 4 US patents.
