A tank AP-105 chemical simulant was developed and diluted with Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS)-supplied raw water to evaluate the stability of AP Farm wastes with respect to precipitation under Direct Feed Low -Activity Waste (DFLAW)-typical waste feed staging operations. The current report provides a high-level summary of the basis for simulant selection, the recommended (and prepared) simulant chemistry, and observed stability with respect to solids formation upon simulant preparation and subsequent dilution with raw water.
