Wang Assumes Role as Associate Editor for Chemical Engineering Journal

PNNL catalysis expert will focus on chemical reaction engineering section

Yong Wang, a Laboratory Fellow and catalysis expert at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), has accepted an associate editor position for the Chemical Engineering Journal, beginning January 1, 2022. 

This core and flagship journal in chemical engineering focuses on chemical reaction engineering, environmental chemical engineering, and materials synthesis and processing. Wang is joining a team that is responsible for the chemical reaction engineering section of the journal.

Wang has long provided expertise to a vast array of journals, serving on the editorial boards of ACS Catalysis, Journal of the American Chemical Society Au, Catalysis Today, Journal of Energy Chemistry, Journal of Nanomaterials, Energy Focus, Biofuel Research Journal, and Chinese Journal of Catalysis.

He joined PNNL in 1994, and has served as the associate director of the Institute for Integrated Catalysis since 2008.

In 2009, Wang assumed a joint appointment with Washington State University, where he is a Voiland Distinguished Professor in the Gene and Linda Voiland School of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering.
