Just as the Internet revolutionized the business world, pundits are now speculating that virtual worlds are the next step in the evolution of technology. How will you know what steps you can take to prepare for this next-generation of technology?
The MIT Enterprise Forum presents "How Virtual Worlds Will Transform the Way We Do Business" as the topic for its February broadcast.
Featured speakers include Mike Vizard, editorial director for Ziff-Davis Enterprise and Chris Klaus, CEO of Kaneva, who will discuss the practical business applications today and potential future implications. Other proposed participants include a speaker from a Fortune 100 business that has embraced virtual technology; a nationally recognized creator of a virtual world who will participate virtually by sending an avatar; and a start-up company that has developed virtual reality training applications. A moderated panel discussion will follow the presentations.
The speakers will focus on:
- the business applications of virtual worlds,
- how will virtual worlds impact corporate information technology in 2008 and the years ahead, and
- the opportunities for savvy entrepreneurs.
