Welcome to the United States Army Weapon System Human Computer Interface Style Guide (WSHCI) Web Site. This site has been published to support the distribution and revision of the WSHCI.
Purpose of WSHCI
The purpose of the WSHCI is to provide design guidance that can be used by U. S. Army developers for designing the human-computer interface of RT/NRT systems across all the weapon system subdomains. The guidance is meant to:
- Provide human factors guidance that will allow developers to design and implement user friendly and consistent designs for RT/NRT systems,
- Complement and extend those guidelines contained in the DOD HCI Style Guide,
- Address guidelines that are applicable across most or all of the Army RT/NRT domains.
- Provide a starting point for the development of subdomain specific style guides, as suggested in the Joint Technical Architecture - Army (JTA-A).
