Biography

Dr. Varun Gupta received his PhD in Civil Engineering from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. His PhD research dealt with the development of a novel Generalized/eXtended Finite Element Method (GFEM/XFEM) for analyzing large three-dimensional structural scale problems involving multi-scale phenomena of fracture. Prior to joining PNNL in 2015, Dr Gupta worked in oil and gas industry for a year.
