Research Interests
- EFRC: Characterization of novel catalysts and catalytic intermediates for the conversion of H+, O2 and N2 to H2, H2O and NH3, respectively, and the reverse using 1-, 2-, and 3-dimensional and dyanmic NMR investigations.
- Biomineralization Processes: Investigation of biomineralization processes using solid state NMR, neutron reflectivity and physical chemistry methods.
- Catalysis: Gain a fundamental, molecular-level understanding of novel bio-inspired stimulus-controlled organometallic catalysts (SCCs), designed to emulate the superior enantiomeric selectivity, control and substrate specificity of enzymes while maintaining the simplicity of a homogeneous catalyst.
- Hydrogen Storage: Use solid state NMR to investigate decomposition mechanisms and structural characteristics of potential solid state hydrogen storage materials.
