Biography
Do Heui Kim is a Senior Research Scientist at the Institute for Interfacial Catalysis of the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). Dr. Kim has been associated with PNNL since 2002, focusing on the preparation and the characterization of heterogeneous catalyst. Especially, he has been making an effort to evaluate the next generation of NOx (nitrogen oxides) abatement catalysts for diesel engine powered cars using the state-of-the-art characterization techniques and reaction performance test system that can address emerging questions related to the future direction in the field. He has conducted studies for the U.S. Department of Energy and cooperated with domestic car manufacturers to develop automotive catalysts with better performance, which will be an essential unit of the aftertreatment system in the next generation cars. He published more than 40 papers in the peer-reviewed journals.
