State of the Material Article on Titanium Dioxide Proves Popular

A titanium dioxide review article by scientists at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is listed as one of Progress in Surface Science's most cited papers in the last 5 years.

Congratulations to Drs. Zdenek Dohnálek, Igor Lyubinetsky, and Roger Rousseau at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory on having their titanium dioxide review article listed as one of Progress in Surface Science's most cited papers in the last 5 years. The article provides an insightful picture of reaction mechanisms, surface intermediates, and final products for rutile titanium dioxide's reactions with water, oxygen, and alcohols. With supporting theoretical calculations, the team characterized dynamic processes, including diffusion of surface intermediates and charge mobility important in surface reactions on titanium dioxide. Their article is proving quite popular, amassing 57 citations since it was published in 2010.
