Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) chief scientist Steve Wiley was interviewed for the cover story for the July 31 C&E News, "Systems Biology's Clinical Future." The story also features a photo of PNNL postdoc Erin Baker and the second-generation ion-mobility separation/time-of-flight mass spectrometry instrument within the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory.
Fast Analysis. A second-generation instrument that incorporates ion-mobility separation with time-of-flight mass spectrometry is being developed at PNNL to identify serum biomarkers. The instrument will increase the throughput of proteomics measurements by up to about 100-fold.
