Capability Replacement Laboratory

Topping off the Physical Sciences Facility

About 50 workers, representatives from the Pacific Northwest Site Office and PNNL gathered to top off another milestone on construction of the Physical Sciences Facility.

American Ironworks and Erectors of Richland hoisted a beam and fastened it, marking placement of the highest point on the steel skeleton of the Materials Science and Technology building — one of three laboratories that comprise the PSF.

With the steel beam in place, crews now are closing in the structural and installing the mechanical, electrical and piping system
