VPP/U.S. Flag Pins
Vern Madson reported that the VPP and American Flag pins were sent out to staff. It took about four hours to stuff the envelope. Staff feedback has for the most part been very positive.
Annual VPP Self-Assessment Update
Our assessment results must be sent to DOE by February 15, 2002. Vern reported that we will be sending an electronic survey to PNNL staff, and he passed a hard copy of the survey for the committee to look at. Vern reported that Don Boyd agreed with the survey, and Human Resources is currently reviewing it. The self-assessment committee consists of Elwood Lepel, Nancy Isern, Drue Collins, Janice Haney, Pat Wright, Chub Bowers, and Vern.
2002 Safety Expo
The Expo will be held during the first week of May. John Reck reported that we will be sharing a 20-ft x 20-ft booth with PNNL's Electrical Safety Committee. We will be meeting with the Electrical Safety Committee before the Expo to coordinate. John reported that the Expo is currently 80% full. PNNL has a contract with the Expo signed through 2004, with an escape clause.
2003 VPP Region X Conference
PNNL will be co-sponsoring this conference in Richland with Fluor. This activity will help us with our mentoring goal.
