Elwood Lepel reported that he formed a subcommittee, consisting of Alice Ver Steeg, Russ Meicenheimer, and Mike Tinker, to check into purchase of the blood pressure units. Pricing for leasing a unit is $187/month for 12 months. Each unit has a six-month warranty. Two units are being purchased this year, one for the ETB lobby, and the other for the 337 Building, near the cafeteria.
The VPP all-staff picnic is set for August 8 at the BSA Picnic Grounds. The Steering Committee will involve the ISO 14001 staff in this year's picnic. A subcommittee was set up consisting of Vern Madson, Mary Ann Showalter, Russ Meicenheimer, Janice Haney, Alice Ver Steeg, and an ISO 14001 staff member to be selected by Dave Carroll.
VPP Posters
Vern Madson reported that we will be allowing the ISO 14001 program to use our easels to the end of the fiscal year. In the interim, new VPP posters will be developed. Vern assigned Jeanie Dixon to lead a subcommittee to come up with new ideas for the posters.
Vern Madson reported that he will be setting up a subcommittee for brainstorming new ideas for staff recognition award items.
The conference is scheduled for September 9 - 12, 2002, in Orlando. Vern, Nancy, Russ, and Elwood will attend along with Pat Wright and will give a presentation on performing the onsite review.
