Minutes from April 25, 2001 VPP Steering Committee Meeting

VPP Steering Committee Meeting
Wednesday, March 28, 2001
Sigma V Nez Perce Room

The meeting commenced at 2:00 p.m.

VPP Newsletter

Vern Madson mentioned that we are behind on the posting of the Porcelain Press. Drue Collins and Mary Ann Showalter explained that some individuals agreed to post certain buildings but are not doing it. Vern asked those who volunteered to post to do the job or let him know if they aren't able to.

Health and Safety Expo

The Health and Safety Expo is set for May 1 - 3, 2001, at TRAC. John Reck reported that he is getting people to sign up for shifts. There is space for 108 booths (64 offsite booths and 44 onsite booths), and all have been filled. Dyncorp will be picking up and delivering our booth equipment to TRAC. We expect to see a lot of school children, as the organizers sent out invitations to all of the schools.

PNNL Self Assessment

Chub Bowers gave a presentation on the results of our internal self assessment. After the presentation, Todd Hart asked for a vote to accept the assessment. All 13 of the steering committee members present voted in favor of accepting the assessment.

PNNL Application Presentation

Vern reported that the committee intends to send some individuals to New Orleans for the VPP National Conference. We are submitting an abstract and hope to be accepted for presenting on the electronic application process.

VPP Budget

Vern reported that $60K was received for the remainder of this year. The Budget Committee will be reestablished in the future to discuss what we are doing with the money.

Meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
