Biography

Marisa DeCillis is an advisor in the Cyber Resilience Foundations Group at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) and serves as deputy leader of the Resilience through Data-Driven, Intelligently Designed Control (RD2C) initiative. She has an extensive background in cyber, including cyber policy, planning, and operations.

DeCillis served over 20 years in the United States Navy between active duty and the reserves as an information warfare officer. She retired in 2014 as a commander (O-5). Her combined active and reserve duty tours include Navy Reserve Fleet Cyber Command/NRC10F, USCYBERCOM, Navy Information Operational Command (NIOC) Norfolk, NIOC Maryland, Office of Naval Intelligence, and Fleet Training Center in Mayport, Florida.

Before PNNL, she was a deputy section chief at the National Security Agency (NSA). Prior to joining the federal civilian ranks at NSA, she spent 10 years as a defense consultant (contractor) in the Washington, D.C., metro area supporting a variety of clients, including the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Navy Chief Information Officer's office in information assurance, NSA, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and USCYBERCOM (and its predecessor organizations).
