Biography

Greg has had a passion for sharing the news ever since high school when his mom gave him a book about Edward R. Murrow and his team of youthful CBS Radio reporters and their WWII storytelling exploits. That spark led to the editorship of his high school newspaper, bachelor’s degrees in broadcast journalism and history, and an offer (declined) of an off-camera position at a new, start-up cable news channel based out of Atlanta.

For 30 years, Greg has helped tell the PNNL story, leading the Laboratory’s newsroom for roughly 20 of those years. He delights in learning about PNNL’s scientific discoveries and innovations, and sharing how they better life for so many, and provide a glimpse into the natural world around us.

A Washington State native, Greg enjoys backpacking, hiking and the outdoors in general, and is a devoted Washington State University sports fan (Go Cougs!). Find out more about Greg on LinkedIn.
