Biography

Annie Peddicord is a senior national security analyst, project manager, and analyst team leader focused on assessing the security impacts of scientific and technical challenges, including climate change, energy and environmental security, and emerging technologies. Working with scientists and engineers from a range of disciplines, including atmospheric scientists, climate modelers, power systems engineers, nuclear engineers, and many others, she contextualizes the results of deeply technical subject matter for policy or issue-focused audiences. As a project manager, Peddicord manages expert research, analysis, and project delivery to address the security challenges of sponsors. She also leads a team of analysts who apply their technical expertise to a range of technology and policy-related national security issues, including cybersecurity, environmental security, nonproliferation, export controls, emerging warfare, and space policy.

Peddicord has experience working with first responders to understand their technology needs and providing leadership and analysis to technology development, testing, and evaluation to support those needs.

Peddicord has briefed high-ranking military officials at the Pentagon on critical national security issues, and participated in a briefing for the House Sub-Committee on Intelligence. Her work has contributed to the development of reports supporting national-level decision-making. 

Peddicord holds a BA in international and comparative politics from Western Washington University, a Master of Marine Affairs from the University of Washington, and a master's certificate in applied intelligence from Mercyhurst College.
