How to Apply for an Internship

Interested students can apply by going to the National Security Intern website. Register to create your login and upload or copy your current resume. After providing your resume, you will be returned to the job openings page. Enter the Job ID number or the word "Intern" into the keyword search box and click the search button. Click the title of the job in which you are interested and click the "Apply Now" button; follow any other on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Applicants must provide a current resume, transcripts (an unofficial copy is acceptable), and a 300-word essay describing why they are interested in an internship and what they hope to gain from their experience at PNNL. Letters of recommendation may also be requested.

Internship applications/resumes/letters of recommendation will be disseminated to PNNL's National Security Internship Program Review Committee for review and selection. Evaluation of candidates for summer 2012 internship positions is currently underway. Application deadline for summer 2012 internship consideration is February 25, 2012.

Early application submittal is highly recommended to obtain maximum consideration. If chosen for an interview, intern applicants will be notified.

Internship applicants will be notified in a timely manner regarding selection/non-selection decision.

Selections are based on applicants' academic achievements, prior experience and technical interest.
