SLIM Wins an R&D 'Oscar'
The Structures for Lossless Ion Manipulations (SLIM) technology.
Five researchers from the Biological Sciences Division (BSD) shared honors for one of seven R&D 100 awards won this year by the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL).
Recipients of the award are selected annually by R&D magazine. The contest, which began in 1963, has been called the "Oscars of Innovation."
The five BSD recipients were selected for their work on the Structures for Lossless Ion Manipulations (SLIM) technology. They are Battelle Fellow Richard D. Smith and four researchers from the Integrative Omics group: Erin Baker, Sandilya Garimella, Yehia Ibrahim, and Ian Webb.
