Researcher Appointed to Editorial Board of Scientific Reports

Satish Nune will focus on Chemical Physics manuscripts

Senior research scientist Satish Nune was invited to be an editorial board member for Scientific Reports, a Springer Nature multidisciplinary, open-access journal publication.

In this role, Nune will support the journal’s Chemical Physics field. His primary responsibilities will include managing peer reviews of manuscripts and making editorial decisions. His term lasts two years.

“I’m excited and honored to be part of the Scientific Reports editorial team,” Nune said. “Being the part of the editorial board provides me with an opportunity to ensure that the manuscripts submitted to Scientific reports are reviewed thoroughly and efficiently.”

Nune holds a Ph.D. in Synthetic Chemistry. He joined PNNL in 2009, and is currently working on the development of hybrid nanostructured materials with engineered porosity for separation, water management, and energy storage applications. In addition to his work at PNNL, Nune has organized and co-organized multiple symposiums for the American Chemical Society division and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Nune has over 53 peer-reviewed publications with more than 1,750 citations, one book chapter, and 12 patents.
