Systems Integration/Software Development

The complexity of system architectures is often associated with the challenges involving massive amounts of data required to understand complex problems and to facilitate the process of making timely decisions. Fundamentally, these system architectures must address the need for access to vast, distributed data, enable the extraction of knowledge from potentially massive datasets, and facilitate human understanding and/or response.

Several of these applications are hosted at PNNL where state-of-the-art, high-speed network communications and high-performance computing support the collection, data warehousing and archival of large datasets used for research and analysis activities. Our multi-disciplinary teams work with clients to understand requirements, policy, and business processes to define a system architecture that is "right sized" and cost-effective.

Our software engineers also are capable of developing best-in-class software products across a broad range of popular programming environments including .Net, Java, Oracle, and SQLServerand applying them to deliver reliable and efficient systems.
