Domestic Safeguards and Security
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) supports DOE and NNSA Headquarters and sites in their nuclear safety and security programs through mission development, program and policy analysis, implementation, and sustainability. This work supports NNSA's Office of Defense Nuclear Security and DOE's Office of Health, Safety and Security.
PNNL supports policy cycle activities related to DOE’s Health, Safety and Security and NNSA's Defense Nuclear Security safeguards and security policy program. We provide performance testing, analytical support, inspections, and training in all areas of safeguards and security. We support safety and security workforce analysis to identify staffing and training needs. We develop strategies to sustain DOE and NNSA cyber infrastructure through policy development, identification of technology, and site support.
