Transportation

It may not be obvious, but our new automobiles are becoming filled with microproducts. Computers now control the engine, climate control systems, brakes, and airbags. Then of course there are the sound systems, digital map systems, and telephones.

We are developing microfuel processors to support the use of fuel cells in automobiles. These use hyrdocarbon fuels to produce hydrogen for fuel cells. The fuel cells then produce electricity for electric motors that propel the car.
