The DOE Marking Handbook is a pictorial tool that provides examples of correctly marked matter to assist in determining the correct markings for various matter that contains classified or unclassified controlled information. Relevant requirements for each illustration are included for reference. This handbook is not intended to create, establish or modify marking requirements.

The Safeguards and Security Information Security Handbook contains descriptions of the Information Security Program. It is intended to help Safeguards and Security management with day-to-day activities by answering general questions regarding information security, reporting requirements, and actions required when an unusual incident occurs. In the event of an unusual incident, for example, an unauthorized disclosure of classified information, this Handbook will assist in outlining the required management actions and notifications.

An Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information (UCNI) Booklet has been developed to provide users with information as to the handling transmission and marking of UCNI. The Brochure also includes frequently asked questions and answers.
