The Westinghouse Hanford Company Effluent and Near Facility Monitoring programs described in this report were managed by Environmental Services under the direction of W.T. Dixon and Hanford Technical Services under the direction of M.R. Adams.
Westinghouse Hanford Company near-facility environmental sampling and surveys were conducted by the Site Surveillance Radiological Control group: D.P. Ellingson, R. Olveda, R.L. Bumgarner, and J.M. Swindoll and managed by M.D. Rowe with the support of H.A. Besel and K.S. Steffen. Bechtel Hanford, Inc. near-facility monitoring waste-site surveys were conducted by the Southern Area Support Radiological Controls group: M.A. Woodcock, S.E. Morey, J.L. Duffey, C.J. Eggemeyer, B.G. Headly, S.E. Huff, M.S. Kobierowski, P.H. Rascon, L.A. Tiffany and managed by C.D. Wade and J.E. Parsons.
Groups and organizations participating in the Westinghouse Hanford Company effluent monitoring program include radiological control technicians and managers, facility operators, cognizant facility environmental engineers, process analytical laboratories, ventilation balance, and field maintenance. Individuals in these organizations collected and analyzed samples, maintained monitoring and sampling equipment, measured stack flow rates, ensured that facility operations adhered to environmental regulations, and ensured that the effluent data reported are accurate.
