Eric E. Richman, LC, LEED, CEM

Experience

Eric Richman supports research activities in the assessment of building energy and the application of energy-efficiency technologies. Eric is specifically involved in the evaluation of lighting technology and its application related to buildings as well as the development of lighting energy codes. He began his career with PNNL in 1986 with the ELCAP energy evaluation project and since supported and led numerous research projects for the U.S. DOE, DOD, and other related service clients.

Eric currently serves as the chairman of the ASHRAE/IESNA 90.1 Lighting Subcommittee. He is Lighting (NCQLP) and LEED (USGBC) certified as well as a Certified Energy Manager and has received the IESNA Technical Talent Award. Eric is deeply involved in the support of development of energy codes and their implementation. He has conducted many commercial and residential energy audits and provided multiple presentations on lighting energy efficiency. Eric Richman has authored over 50 technical reports, conference papers, and journal articles on energy efficiency relates issues and studies.
