Energy Policy and Program Analysis Group
The Energy Policy and Program Analysis (EP&PA) group conducts analysis of energy, economic and environmental issues for both government and private-sector customers. The work focuses primarily on helping customers understand the potential energy, economic and environmental impacts of science and technology development/deployment programs and make policy and management decisions based on sound analysis. The work utilizes the diverse competencies represented by the group members: economics, engineering, building science, architectural and lighting design, organizational development, management sciences, and database design.
Located next to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Headquarters in Washington D.C., the Battelle Washington Office (BWO) houses most of the staff of the group.1 The location of most group members in the Nation's Capital helps the group effectively interact with DOE customers and stakeholders e.g., trade associations, other federal agencies. Marylynn Placet manages the group of 8 staff members.
