Dave Hunt works primarily with the U.S. Department of Energy's Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP). He currently serves as the PNNL program manager for the FEMP Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Program, for which Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is the lead laboratory. Mr. Hunt also leads and provides technical support to several initiatives within the O&M program including the formation of the O&M Center of Excellence and contributions to the O&M Best Practices Guide. Mr. Hunt also serves as the co-technical team leader for Energy 2005, a major workshop on energy efficiency that targets the federal building sector. Prior to the O&M program Dave provided technical analysis and support to the FEMP alternative financing program, including energy savings performance contracting, and the Greening of the White House initiative. Before joining the Laboratory in 1992, he served as the staff engineer for the General Services Administration's (national) Energy Branch. Prior to that he held the position of Utilities Management and Energy Conservation Program Manager for the U.S. Marine Corps, from which he initiated the development of DSOM (Decision Support for Operations and Maintenance). Mr.Hunt also served as a public works mechanical design engineer in Port Hueneme, CA.

Mr. Hunt is a Certified Energy Manager and a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional through the Association of Energy Engineers.
