The Tri-Cities Visitor & Convention Bureau is the destination marketing organization for the Tri-Cities, Washington region serving as the community's catalyst for developing, marketing, and enhancing tourism and conventions thereby creating positive economic growth for the region. The Bureau's goal is economic development through tourism--which is the recruitment of new visitor dollars into our community. We work year-round as the convention, sports, leisure, and recreational promotional organization for the Tri-Cities area. We recruit new customers for existing business, and we assist tourism businesses with development or expansion into our community. We work with trade and travel writers to create favorable media coverage of the community and to educate consumers that the Tri-Cities is a great place to live, work, play, and visit. Programs include: Convention Sales and Marketing; Tri-Cities Sports Council (sports development and recruitment); Tri-Cities Rivershore Enhancement Council; Tourism Development and Promotion. We manage the Visitor Information Center and Airport Visitor Information Kiosk. Our service area includes the greater Tri-Cities area (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, West Richland, and Benton and Franklin Counties).
The Tri-Cities Visitor & Convention Bureau serves as a primary resource for Tri-Cities Businesses (i.e., restaurants, retail, hotels, motels, wineries, sports venues, golf courses, etc.) and new entrepreneurs interested in the travel industry including tours, leisure and recreation, sports and convention markets. The Bureau provides current and historical information on conventions and sports visitation, as well as total visitor spending, while acting as a resource for a variety of tourism-related services.
The Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau helps develop tour and travel-related businesses by promoting their business and services to conventions, sports, leisure travel, and travel writers. The Bureau maintains visitation statistics and other information useful in preparing a competitive analysis or determining market potential.
