Funding
The City of Richland operates the Richland Economic Development Corporation, which can issue tax-exempt industrial Development Bonds to fund qualifying industrial projects. Funding for eligible small business and tourism-related projects is available through an annual application process from the City's Hotel-Motel Tax and Business License Reserve Funds. Funding is available to Richland businesses to enhance the exterior of their property through the Commercial Improvement Program. This program is intended to assist private property owners and merchants in improving the external appearance of storefronts and other areas. The program will provide up to 50% of funding for projects up to $5,000 if certain criteria are met and over $5,000 if additional criteria are met.

Information Source
The Economic Development Office (EDO) maintains a national award-wining, comprehensive economic development Website that includes information on doing business in the City of Richland, demographic, housing, and other business indicators, maps, information about available sites and buildings, available programs and publications, and links to other economic development organizations.
