PNNL to receive economic stimulus funding
Richland, Wash.-based Pacific Northwest National Laboratory will receive $124 million from the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Science as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The funds are for capital upgrades and instrumentation for the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory and the Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Climate Research Facility, and for energy conservation projects on the PNNL campus in Richland. In addition to the funding from the Office of Science, PNNL has submitted proposals for Recovery Act funding to other DOE program offices and other federal agencies that support research at PNNL.
