Wireless mesh network earns national recognition
A high-tech network designed and implemented by Lockheed Martin's Richland, Wash., team won first place in Special Enforcement Category for the Best Technology Uses in Law Enforcement in the United States. The award was given by the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Law Enforcement. The city of Ripon, Calif., uses the wireless mesh network to reduce crashes and injuries and provide extra safety precautions for officers on duty.
