Species and Habitats
The Hanford Site contains significant remnants of the shrub-steppe and semi-arid riparian habitats of Washington State that are relatively undisturbed by agricultural and industrial development. Inventory and mapping of the condition and status of these resources are used for land use planning, impact assessment, and clean-up monitoring efforts on the Hanford Site.
