Visualization and Analytics

By clustering similar documents together, IN-SPIRE™ unveils common themes and reveals hidden relationships within the collection.
Visual analytics is the science of analytical reasoning facilitated by interactive visual interfaces. Visual analytics provide new ways to ask questions and get answers, essential to making new discoveries in technology scanning, intellectual property management, information assurance, scientific research, legal and regulatory analysis, acquisition analysis, national security and law enforcement, medical and pharmaceutical research, cyber security, and web space analysis.
Visual analytic environments such as Starlight™ provide analysts ability to visualize information from disparate sources and capture relationships among records using time, space, and network models simultaneously.
With broad experience in research, engineering, and product development, PNNL's efforts in visual information analysis range from conducting basic research to developing innovative tools. Our interdisciplinary teams apply their diverse capabilities in software engineering, computer science, cognitive psychology, mathematics, and human-computer interactions to solve problems for government and industry clients within the domains homeland security, law enforcement and forensics, market assessment, and competitive intelligence.
