Proceedings

Papers are required by no later than 9/1/2005 for review at the conference.

The Institute of Physics will be publishing the proceedings of COLA '05: The 8th International Conference on Laser Ablation as an issue in the Journal of Physics: Conference Series. Please be sure to visit this journal's webpage (http://atom.iop.org/atom/usermgmt.nsf/AuthorServices?OpenForm&ISSN=1742-6596).

For the initial review of your paper, please take special note that you need to supply the following to the conference secretary by September 1, 2005:

  1. Maximum Length: up to 4 journal pages for contributed Oral and Poster presentations, up to 6 pages for Invited talks. Please see Journal of Physics D for preferred format.
  2. Three (3) full paper copies of your article and a signed copyright form.
  3. You will need to print out, sign & send the copyright form. The Institute of Physics Copyright form is available as a PDF file. Copyright Form.
    Note:     At this time we do not need electronic versions. We will require electronic copies of the final revised manuscript following the conference.

Following the conference:

Once your paper has been reviewed and you have made final revisions you will need to submit the following to the Conference Secretary.

  1. Two (2) paper copies of your complete article with all the figures and tables included.
  2. An electronic version in both Word and in PDF format of the complete article, including all figures and graphics.
  3. Figure and graphics files may be in any of the following formats: TIFF, GIF, JPEG, BMP
