How to reach The Banff Center

Travel Distances to Banff
The Banff Center is 75 miles / 120km from the Calgary International Airport, from which more than 70 domestic and foreign flights enter daily. Air Canada offers a dense schedule from major Canadian and US cities, and also provides direct flights to/from London and Frankfurt. Westjet provides good coverage of Canada. United Airlines offers a dozen daily flights from the United States and some other carriers with direct access to Calgary include Delta Airlines, Alaska, and American Airlines. Direct flights to/from international cities include Oita (All Nippon Airlines), Amsterdam (Martin Air), Frankfurt (Lufthansa), London (Scandinavian, Austrian Airlines). Commuter-like schedules to Toronto and Vancouver offer efficient connections to major world airports.
Transfer to the conference site is possible by:
- Airport Shuttle bus to Banff: Journey time: 2 hours.
- Banff Canmore 24 Hour Service To and From the Calgary Airport, Price: One Way $45.00 or Round Trip $85.00.
- Banff Airporter Banff Airporter is a shuttle bus company offering frequent transfers between Calgary International Airport and Banff. Reservations are necessary. Fares are approx. $44 Cdn one-way/$82 Cdn return. Please contact directly, to confirm times and prices - Call 1-888-HIWAY-01 in North America
- Brewster Coaches two departures leave daily from Calgary International Airport to Banff hotels, and three return daily from Banff to the airport. Fare is approx. $42 Cdn, one-way. - Rental Car: This is well-marked and the trip from the Calgary International Airport to Banff takes approximately 1.5 hours.
- Depart airport via Barlow Trail (head towards Calgary City Centre).
Take 16th Avenue West exit and turn right onto 16th Avenue West.
Remain on 16th Avenue West through Calgary, it becomes the Trans-Canada Highway 1. Continue to head west on the Trans-Canada Highway 1 and eventually this will take you through the park gates to the exit for the town of Banff.
- Depart airport via Barlow Trail (head towards Calgary City Centre).
