Your Research, Our Facilities
Collaborating on Research Projects
We welcome collaboration through a variety of means. Through a unique use agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy, the facilities of the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory are available to both government and private researchers. These facilities include the outstanding resources of the William R Wiley Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory (EMSL), a U.S. Department of Energy national scientific user facility.
To collaborate with us, contact the researcher you are interested in working with and submit a User Proposal or submit a team proposal for a Grand Challenge. Current Grand Challenges are in the areas of Biogeochemistry and Membrane Biology. PNNL has developed software tools making it easy for you to access our facilities remotely.
Contracting/Sponsoring Work with Us
Our world class scientists did $638 million worth of research in FY 2004 for the U.S. Department of Energy, other federal government agencies, state agencies, and industry. If we have the expertise you are looking for, contact Michael R. Thompson, (509) 375-6471, to discuss contracting options. Complete details on collaborating and contracting with us are found on our Working with the Lab web pages.
