Dr. Charles Ansong is a Senior Research Scientist within the Integrative Omics group, Biological Sciences Division at PNNL. The research of Dr. Ansong centers on the utilization of advanced mass spectrometry-based omics technologies and systems biology approaches to better understand complex biological systems relevant to human health and the environment. Dr. Ansong has a demonstrated track record of developing and leading interdisciplinary collaborative research teams, previously serving as Project Manager for a NIAID-funded Systems Biology for Infectious Disease Research Center at PNNL. Currently, Dr. Ansong is Principal Investigator and co-Director of an NHLBI-funded LungMAP Research Center at PNNL. In this role he leads a multidisciplinary team utilizing mass spectrometry-based omics and imaging technologies to create a molecular atlas of the developing lung for an improved understanding of the molecular mechanisms driving lung development.
