Research Aircraft Data Acquisition System

The heart of the research data acquisition system for the G-1 is a Science Engineering Associates (SEA) M300 with the following features:

  • Rack-mount chassis w/ 4 PCI, 2 PCI/ISA, and 13 ISA slots
  • Pentium III, 850 MHz processor with internal math coprocessor
  • 512 MB RAM, 512 KB cache
  • 120 GB hard disk
  • QNX operating system
  • 5 SEA ADC multiplexer with 32 channels each of 16-bit conversion at 10 kHz
  • Interface cards for: Loran, GPS, INS, 1D and 2D PMS probes, and CAPS probe
  • 16 channels digital I/O (expandable)
  • 16 serial ports (expandable)
  • 5GB Kingston DataPak disk drives
  • 20" TFT LCD flat panel display
  • SEA M300 data acquisition, playback, and utilities software
