Sriram Somasundaram Receives ASME Dedicated Service Award
Sriram Somasundaram, Energy Science and Technology Directorate, received the American Society of Mechanical Engineers' Dedicated Service Award in 2004. This award honors outstanding leadership, dedicated service and enthusiasm for advancing the art and science of mechanical engineering. He served as chair of the Advanced Energy Systems Division from 2003-2004, and now is on the Society-wide committees of the Business Development for Conferences and Events, Volunteer Orientation and Leadership Training Academy, the Board on Institutes and the ad-hoc committee to explore the formation of an Energy and Power Institute within ASME. He also is an associate editor of the Journal of Energy Resources Technology. (announced 5/19/2005)
