David S. Smith Elected Fellow of ASCE
David S. Smith was elected Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). The ASCE Fellow award is a prestigious honor held by fewer than six percent of its 75,000 regular members and another 60,000 associate, affiliate or student ASCE members. David was recognized for being an outstanding "practitioner, educator, mentor and most of all leader." The ASCE is a non-profit organization dedicated to having engineers positioned as global leaders who strive toward building a better quality of life. (announced 3/1/2009)
