Tom Cook and Team Awarded the CIA Directorate of Science & Technology's 2008 John A. McCone Award
Tom Cook and a team of others were awarded the CIA Directorate of Science & Technology's 2008 John A. McCone Award. The award honors agency employees who bring science and technology to bear on the nation's most challenging intelligence problems. It is presented to teams or individuals whose dedication and accomplishments exemplify the tradition of the Directorate of Science and Technology – deep technical expertise, disciplined program management, and responsiveness to mission. The award acknowledges the importance of teamwork, creativity, innovation, initiative, risk-taking, persistence and determination. (announced 1/1/2009)
