Mark Engelhard Selected to Chair Publications Committee for AVS
Mark Engelhard, a Pacific Northwest National Laboratory researcher in the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory, was appointed Publications Committee Chair for AVS: Science and Technology of Materials, Interfaces, and Processing. Founded in 1953, this international society was focused on vacuum science and technology, critical to developing vacuum tubes, enabling radio broadcasting, radar, and other technologies. Today, the society has broadened its scope to surface science, electronic and magnetic materials, nanoscience, biomaterials and other relevant areas. (announced 1/1/2008)
